THE DEVELOPMENT WIKIPROJECT I SPACE FANTASY · CO-OP FPS · ROGUELIKE

Interface, feedback and local settings

The game uses UI Toolkit for the main menu, build library, HUD and run panels. UI copy should match player-facing terms while technical IDs remain available to developers.

The menu exposes Choose your weapons, Choose your abilities, Start with a build, Private lobby, Ready/Not ready, Run results and Local settings. Ability library choices are slot-aware; drafts can be inspected before applying, while host acceptance remains authoritative.

Passive, normal-active, ultimate and melee categories have distinct roles. Hover/focus descriptions and stat trade-offs should explain a choice without requiring a wiki lookup. Guided builds supply editable combat loops and weaknesses.

Combat HUD and core choices

The HUD presents vitals/defensive resources, ammo/weapon state, ability availability, objectives and co-op information. Enemy bars use names, health and recent-damage trails; perception/cover/death policies control visibility.

The category core reward menu, award receipt and in-run inspection represent different states. Host-owned reward identities prevent duplicate confirmation from granting extra upgrades. Searchable wiki entries do not change those gameplay panels.

Damage numbers, precision cues, muzzle glow, telegraphs and status effects should remain readable during crowded first-person combat. Colour should support shape/text rather than acting as the only distinction between tiers or threats.

Local settings

Current source settings include hip FOV, sensitivity multiplier, VSync, frame-rate limit, damage-flash strength, monitor and window mode. Source validation bounds are FOV 60–100, sensitivity 0.25–3, frame cap 30–360 or 0 for uncapped, and flash strength 0–1. Defaults and schema migration live in LocalPlayerSettings.

Settings are local preferences, not replicated combat state. They persist separately from the run and must not globally pause co-op. Input blockers prevent movement/fire leaking through an open interactive panel.
