THE DEVELOPMENT WIKIPROJECT I SPACE FANTASY · CO-OP FPS · ROGUELIKE

Game vision and scope

An original low-poly space-fantasy first-person roguelike for PC, with online co-op for up to four players. The setting combines futuristic weapons, mysterious powers, ancient ruins, strange ecosystems and floating-island landscapes.

The intended experience combines responsive aiming/shooting with escalating enemy pressure, stacking run bonuses and replayable builds. Destiny 2 and Risk of Rain 2 are experience references; production assets, characters, names and distinctive presentation are not to be copied.

Design priorities

Playable multiplayer combat comes first, followed by maintainable architecture, simple systems, modular components, performance, Editor iteration and consistent low-poly art. Prove one stage before expanding production content.

Classless loadouts should make mobility, survivability, gun damage and ability damage trade-offs visible. Single-target and area builds should each have useful encounters without one dominating everything.

Campaign target versus current structure

The long-term pacing target is roughly 20 minutes across four distinct five-minute stages. These are playtest targets, not rigid timing rules. Current sequence data reuses prototype scenes; a complete four-biome campaign and permanent unlock persistence remain separate work.

Original world direction and art should communicate isolation, discovery, beauty and escalating danger. Clear silhouettes and readable threats matter more than production-detail assets during prototype validation.
